Partners Brothers Marcelo and Christian Dufflocq, and their friend Claudio Pumarino (center), are the owners of Rios Azules. They have explored almost every corner of Chile in search of the best fishing and natural wonders. They currently own and operate three of the best fly fishing lodges in the Chile, along with Valles del Sur, a company specializing in cultural and natural history expeditions and tours.


   Marcelo "Cormorant" Dufflocq
Marcelo Dufflocq Marcelo has been guiding in Chile for more than 20 years. He has explored and developed most of the best fisheries in the country. He is the manager and host at Estancia de los Rios Lodge. Also an accomplished photographer and fly fishing instructor, Marcelo is married and has two children. His nick name is "Cormorant"


   Niccolo "Nico" Cantarutti

Jamie Castillo Nico has been working with us for eleven years, he started as one of the first guides at Estancia de los Rios lodge, where he worked for five years as head guide. Now he is the manager at Fundo el Salto lodge where he works along with his wife Karen. He is a passionate angler, great photographer and acomplished oarsman. Nico also keeps his days busy by running after his 5 year old son Stefano.

   Jaime "Trapa-Trapa"Castillo
Jamie CastilloJaime, here in blue, is the head guide at Estancia de los Rios Lodge, he has been guiding with us for six consecutive seasons. He is an accomplished fly tier, enthusiastic fisherman, explorer, expert boatman, and excellent chef. Apart from guiding Jaime, along with Clauido Joost, are in charge of the weekly "asado", or lamb roast.

   Sebastian "Si " Letelier
Felipe and DanielSebastián has been guiding with us for eleven years, along with Nico, was one of the first two guides to work at Estancia de los Ríos. He knows the rivers of the area like the palm of his hand. He is also an outstanding fly tier and apart from regular flies for everyday use, he ties magnificent salmon flies.    Claudio Joost

Claudio Claudio was born in Patagonia and knows almost every corner of it like the back of his hand. He is an accomplished fly fisherman and has been guiding professionally for more than ten years. Claudio is also an expert oarsman and streamside chef. Claudio is an accomplished fly tyer and is always developing new patterns and trying fantastic new materials ( which he only knows where to get )

   Felipe Gonzales and Daniel Meza
Felipe and Daniel Felipe (left), checking new waters with Daniel, has been guiding for the last seven years. He is in charge of coordinating all outdoor activities at the lodge. Apart from being an expert fly fisherman and guide, Felipe is also an accomplished mountain climber. Daniel has been guiding at the lodge for the past five seasons. He is also an expert oarsman, fly tier, and enthusiastic fisherman. Daniel is also a classic guitarist and if you ask him, he will delight you with live classic music during cocktails or dinner.
