Fundo el Salto offers you world class fly- fishing
in the nearby Petrohue River drainage, which includes the Petrohue,
several tributaries, and nearby spring creeks.
You or your non-angling companion, can also
enjoy a variety of other outdoor activities. We invite you to
visit what is undeniably one of Chile’s most beautiful spots.
You will find that the Petrohue River is a spectacular
fishery. It’s a smooth flowing pristine freestone river
bounded by sandbars and gravel banks. You can float and wade fish
for native Brown Trout, brightly hued strong Rainbows, with the
distinct possibility of a Salmon or sea-run Brown Trout.
Additionally,
remote tributary rivers deep in the Andes offer you great variety
of waters and exceptional fishing opportunities.
This
is the place where you will have a very good chance to catch exceptionally
large fish, the Petrohue has more than its share and your chances
are good. It is a phenomenal fishery and if you are after the
fish of a lifetime in an spectacular setting, this is the place
to be.
If you like
a challenge, your guide can take you to a nearby spring creek
where big rainbows cruise the slow-moving, gin-clear water. These
big trout can be challenging to entice, but the beauty of this
beguiling stream and the rewards of success make it well worth
a visit.
